Freedom to the Sleepers.

Ahhh the weekend, there's nothing like it, except spring, winter, and summer break. But all this week I've had an unusual amount of after-school naps. But algebra is truly exhausting. I swear I'm pretty sure it's the spawn of the devil...wait scratch that the CREATOR of the devil. I'm serious, I hate it that much.

Any who, today was B-day which means no algebra!!!So last night while I was picking out my outfit for today, I just wanted to wear something summerish, to express my happiness of an algebra-less ( yeah umm put the hyphen in there cause it looked like braless which is NOT what I did.So yeah just had to state the awkwardness.)

Dress- American Eagle outlet Jacket- Forever 21 Scarf -it's my sister's and she said she got it from Buffalo Exchange Shoes-Those are my mom's from the late 90's (she has great shoe taste)

But I do like this because, the scarf and the dress go great together. Thy're like PB&J, they're better togther. The picture dosen't give the scarf appropriate credit (I'm asking for a camera for my birthday), but the colors are to die for. I also needed to wear it cause when I got this dress I was negative A cup so I kinda needed to cover up.The jacket I'm wearing is faux denim...is just me or when an American says a random French word, they sound automatically snooty? Well that's what I just felt like. But the dress in general could easily be passed as a going-to-a-church-picnic type of dress and the jacket and scarf gave it a good amount of edge.

I really love these nude espadrilles, (again picture doesn't give them credit) they're easily the most comfortable shoes I have, and they are also really cute. Although I have to stick toilet paper in at the toes because my mom is a half a shoe size bigger than I am, it's completey worth it.

Well I think that's all I have to say.

P.S--The dress had pockets!! I love dresses with pockets!!!

No, I'm NOT going hiking after school.

So what I did today was...made the bus, slept in algebra, made a map of Africa in World Geo,had a sub in Bio, and fell asleep in Theatre. But I'm bound to fall asleep when I woke up on 12:20 Monday afternoon and couldn't go back to sleep until exactly 12 hours later. So lay off Mr. Thorley!
Any who , I really like what I wore today, because the skirt I wore made me want to spin around and dance,( and I HATE dancing),and the boots made me feel like i can kick some butt (I don't like to cuss). So putting those two together made a good oxymoron. And I also really love my lace top with the skirt cause lately I've been liking mixing together textures and heavy prints... so yeah.
And to the guy who asked me if I was going hiking after school... that would be a no since typically people don't go hiking in SKIRTS!!

Shirt is vintage, skirt is Forever 21, and the Roper boots are my mom's from the eighties.(those are my faveorite shoes)

P.S.--I have another reason to hate spearmint gum, since I spent 15 minutes peeling a piece off the bottom of my boots with a knife.

It feels like Spring has sprung early.

It's may still be cold and snowy up north, but it's a sunny 80 degrees in roller-coaster weather Texas. And even if it may still be technically be winter , I'm defiantly dressing the opposite. So today I just kept it casual since it's Saturday and I'm not doing anything.(What a life!)(( pure sarcasm)).

I just think this is a great "Hello Spring" outfit...Okay the way I dress is I have tons of old clothes and I wear them in all in different ways, so all the clothes that I'm wearing are not in stores , but the clothes I am wearing are cheap...

  1. The mini-floral blouse- Kohl's-1 year old
  2. Denim shorts-Delia's-8 months old?
  3. Hand-me-down ...wait never mind stole-from-my-sister yellow and white striped cardigan-Old Navy-3+ years
  4. Gray Keds-Famous Footwear-1 yearish.
  5. And the wayfarer glasses-Wal-Mart-I actually got those for Christmas

So yeah I rarely go shopping except after my birthday and after Christmas, But when I do I kinda go all out. Any who when the school week starts again on..TUESDAY!!!! ( Besides Dwight Shrute and Zach Galifinackis I LOVE long weekends the most!!!) I'll have some better looking outfits.

Well I think I'm done rambleing so I'm gonna ride my bike to Ace Hardware and get some Sour Punch Straws and pay with change cause that's all I have. Oh how la cajera o el cajero will hate me.(Spanish for cashier,I have a spanish test when I go back to school, and that class is currentley ranking as my lowest grade, so I'm getting some practice.)

Wish me me luck.

Opal says Hello.

Salutations!(smart word of the day) I'm Meredith, and this is my blog.
I'll start off by introducing myself. At the moment I am almost 15 and a half,[still no permit] and I'm a freshman at Mansfield High School where I, the tall,pale,clumsy,make-up free, boyfriendless, not blond-not brown haired girl stick out among the petite, artificially tan, make-up heavy, and blond girls.

But honestley I don't mind because my eyes are looking towards the future in hopefully New York City. To either be a fashion design major or a journalism major. But I have 3 and half more years to find out . Well the point I'm starting this blog is because I want to document my outfits everyday(or almost everyday) and talk about trends I'm really loving , so I can combine my two loves, fashion and writing. And I'll more than likely write about some random stuff along the way.

Today I wore my new favorite item of clothing....BELL BOTTOMS!!!!!
Last Sunday I was wandering around Target with my mom, and I was looking for some bell bottoms, because they were having this giant jean sale, but it just consisted of skinnies and jeggings. So I started to get hopeless, but then my mom pulled out these William Rast for Target jeans that had the best qualities:bell bottoms,my size, and best of all 50% off the $50 price!!! That's a major characteristic of mine....FRUGAL so I will also be giving low priced clothing suggestions. And believe unlike what magazines thinnk.. a $40 top is NOT cheap!!!

Well I now I have to go, but I'll post very soon with fashion updates!
